Founded in 1992, the International Tax Policy Forum (“ITPF”) sponsors independent academic research and public conferences to promote an informed dialogue on international tax issues. ITPF does not take positions on legislative or regulatory matters. Scholars may apply for ITPF grants, up to $25,000, to support their research on international taxation. Applicants should provide a brief description of the proposed research, including topic, co-authors, timing, data, methodology, advancement over prior research, and the amount of funding requested. Research grants are awarded by ITPF’s Board of Academic Advisors: James R. Hines, Jr., (Research Director), Alan J. Auerbach, Michael P. Devereux, Dhammika Dharmapla, Michelle Hanlon, and Juan Carlos Suarez-Serrato. Grantees will have the opportunity to discuss their research with ITPF’s Academic Board and the tax directors of ITPF member companies at an ITPF meeting in Washington, DC. Grant recipients retain full rights of ownership in their research. Research proposals should be sent to ITPF in care of Angela McMillan (angela.mcmillan@pwc.com).
