The Golden Anniversary Symposium: New Thinking on Enduring Questions
Thank you for attending the 50th anniversary virtual Spring Symposium. This year’s conference celebrated 50 years of the NTA Spring Symposium and explored the public finance consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sessions on inequality, entrepreneurship, profit shifting, TCJA, EITC, behavioral public finance, and a global minimum tax re-evaluated enduring questions with new thinking and new evidence. A plenary session, a research session and a keynote address by Tomas Philipson, Acting Chair, Council of Economic Advisers addressed COVID-19. Keynotes by Joseph Thorndike and IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig explored tax history and the administration of tax policy. The Symposium was presented in association with the American Tax Policy Institute.
