2021 End of Year Donation Appeal

Dear NTA Member,

Thank you for being an NTA member. 2021 was an eventful year!

We hope you had a chance to join us for one of our virtual events this year, the Spring Symposium, and the Annual Conference. Cutting-edge tax and fiscal policy research was shared across 100+ sessions and special events and almost 1,000 NTA members took part in both events. The National Tax Journal found a new home at the University of Chicago Press and NTA underwent its first ever strategic planning process. We hope to share the finalized plan with you soon so you can help NTA and the broader tax policy field achieve our strategic objectives. Finally, to help increase diversity in NTA, we created two new initiatives. The first was our Equity & Inclusion Travel Fellowship Program to help bring underrepresented students and new professionals to the Annual NTA Conference. The second initiative was a partnership with CSWEP (The Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession, a standing committee of the American Economic Association) for a pre-Annual Conference dinner for underrepresented women in the economics profession. Both programs were put on hold, unfortunately, because the Annual Conference was virtual instead of in person, but we hope to kick off the programs in 2022 in to serve more NTA members than we hoped for in 2021.

Would you consider a donation to the National Tax Association to help support these two diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, as well as help underwrite all the activities of the NTA? You can donate here.

Again, thank you for being an NTA member. Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season!

Sincerely,

James Mackie, NTA President
