115th Annual Conference Cancellation

Dear NTA Members,

It is with a heavy heart that the NTA leadership has decided to cancel the 2022 Annual Conference, set to start on Thursday, November 10 in Miami, FL. Tropical Storm Nicole is expected to hit the Miami area on Wednesday night/Thursday morning and we are afraid that even if the storm does not strengthen into a hurricane, travel to the area will be severely curtailed for NTA conference attendees.  While we were looking forward to being back in person after two years of virtual conferences, the safety of our attendees and guests is our greatest concern.

We encourage you to cancel your hotel reservations at the JW Marriott Marquis (305.421.8600) and your flight reservations as soon as possible. We will be offering refunds for registration but need some time to put a plan in place for that.

Please stay tuned for more information on NTA’s future plans. We are considering the possibility of a virtual conference as a replacement, but as yet are uncertain of whether or how that may come to fruition.

We are very grateful to our conference chairs, Robert Carroll and Nirupama Rao, for all the hard work that they put in over the last year putting together a stellar conference.

Please reach out (nta@ntanet.org) with any questions.

Best,

James Mackie, NTA President
