What environmental taxation career opportunities are available in government, academia, legal practice, and consulting? What is the scope and nature of the environmental tax work that is done at these types of organizations?
Join us for an hour-long virtual discussion with four panelists whose career paths include substantial work on environmental tax issues: Randa Barsoum, a tax partner at PwC specializing in green energy tax credits; Heather Cooper, a partner at the law firm McDermott Will & Emery specializing in federal income tax issues related to renewable and transitional energy; Dirk Heine, Lead Economist and Global Lead for Climate Aspects of Fiscal Policy at the World Bank; and Gilbert Metcalf, John DiBiaggio Professor of Citizenship and Public Service and Professor of Economics at Tufts University.
The panel will be moderated by Daniel Hemel, professor of law at New York University School of Law.
Panelists will discuss their careers and the work they and their organizations do in the field of environmental taxation. A Q&A session will follow.
