2023 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation in Government Finance and Taxation Award Honorable Mention: Michael Love

Michael Love, will be awarded an honorable mention at the 116^th NTA Annual Conference, on November 3, 2023 in Denver, CO.

Michael Love is an associate professor at Columbia Law School. He completed his Ph.D. in economics at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on U.S. business taxation, especially on topics involving the distributional effects of business taxation, the role of partnerships in business structures, the interaction of taxation and corporate finance, and tax avoidance through the use of business entities. He has previously worked for the White House Council of Economic Advisors, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and the Joint Committee on Taxation.
