National Tax Association Climate Tax Fellowship

The NTA Climate Tax Fellowship supports postgraduate degree candidates and early career professionals whose research and professional interests lie at the intersection of tax and climate or environmental policy. This fellowship is tied to the 119th Annual Conference on Taxation to be held November 12 – 14, 2026, at The Westin Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. All fellowship recipients will be required to attend in person.

Eligibility:

  • Graduate students and early-career professionals within five years of earning their graduate degree
  • Individuals with a demonstrated interest in the intersection of tax, climate, and environmental policy.
  • Must be able to attend the 2026 NTA Annual Meeting (November 12-14, 2026) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Important Dates:

  • Application Deadline: Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Applicants are encouraged to apply before the deadline; applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis.
    Recipients Notified: September 9, 2026.
    2026 NTA Annual Meeting, November 12 – 14, 2026

All Climate Tax Fellowship Recipients Receive:  

  • Two nights of lodging at the conference hotel
  • Up to $599 in travel reimbursement
  • A waived conference registration fee
  • A complimentary one-year NTA membership
